Due to recent global economic crises, wars, earthquake, pandemic, a lot of people have been afflicted in various ways. We want to discuss different types of affliction which has brought about untold hardship, sufferings, turment, many have been displaced, distressed, some have passed on due to too much of affliction.

Before we delve into the different types of afflictions, we need to first understand what is affliction.
What is Affliction?
Affliction is a state of distress, pain, grief, missery, difficulty, hardship, trouble, burden.
Affliction is a negative state that might involve sorrow, anguish, or loss, as in The servants kept vigil over the manor while the duke was suffering after the death of his son.
An affliction can also be anything that hurts the body or mind, such illness or bad luck, as in The odd illness that the doctor was unable to diagnose had left the captain bedridden.
Words that also describe things that cause sorrow or misery, such as trial, misfortune, and adversity, are used similarly to express affliction. But unlike these terms, affliction is frequently used to refer to something that is specifically inflicted upon a person and results in significant emotional harm in addition to other forms of suffering. What Does Being Afflicted Mean
Being afflicted mean to live in a state of pain, missery, grief. “Impaired” or “stricken” is the word “afflicted,” which is typically used to describe someone who is physically or psychologically unfit or who has suffered a severe illness.
The Latin root of this term, afflictare, meaning “to damage, harass, or torment,” which may sometimes accurately express the feelings of someone who is afflicted. Mentally sick people may have voices in their heads, making it difficult for them to tell what is real from unreal. Lou Gehrig’s disease, often known as ALS, causes patients to gradually lose control of their muscles and become paralyzed.
Who Are The Afflicted
Anybody can be afflicted; man, woman, boy, girl, young and old, rich and the poor, tall and short. Nobody is exempted. Even the president of a country can be afflicted.
Types of Affliction
Anybody can be afflicted. it can be a person who is mentally or physically unfit, or has been grievously affected by disease, pain, grief. it can be of any gender; man or woman, it can be of any age, race. The rich can be afflicted, the poor can be afflicted.
1. Adamic Affliction
Because of the fall of Adam sin entered the world and death through sin. The sin of Adam caused the human spirit to be separated from God. The nature of man consequently became that of sin.
Genesis 1:27 So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them. [Col. 3:9, 10; James 3:8, 9.]
Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them and said to them, Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it [using all its vast resources in the service of God and man]; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and over every living creature that moves upon the earth.
Genesis 1:29 And God said, See, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the land and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food.
It was at this point that man lost his dominion, authority. Satan then took over as the god of the earth. The separation of man from God was the beginning of man’s calamity.
In the beginning of creation God created man in his likeness, blessed him and placed the first man in authority in charge of the earth.
Unfortunately Satan deceived Adam and Eve to disobey God. God cursed man and the earth because of that disobedience. the affliction of man started at that instance.
Genesis 1:29 And God said, See, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the land and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food.
Genesis 1:30 And to all the animals on the earth and to every bird of the air and to everything that creeps on the ground–to everything in which there is the breath of life–I have given every green plant for food. And it was so.
The fall of Adam brought the downfall of man, untold affliction and death. But for the fall of Adam, man would never experienced any form of affliction.
2. Consequential Affliction
This type of affliction stem from people’s actions. The Main Cause of Affliction can not be consequential.
It’s true that people still suffer from the consequences of their actions. A lot of people are rather not aware that most of their actions are the one working against them.
These often catch-up with people that don’t know how to count their step. Most of the things we say to people, actions we take will either attract favor, disfavor or even create enermies.
Worst still, we may not even be aware of such impacts because we were too busy for the reflection. Some people even put up a carefree attitude towards such behaviors.
People who likes to go on the negative, opposition party are mostly the victims of this type of affliction.
3. Collective Affliction
Sometimes we go through difficulty or hardship because we are connected to certain people or group. Causes of Affliction can also be collective. For example; there can be a family curse on members of certain family, it can be a whole community, even an entire country. There curse can be placed by reason of their idol worship. It can be due to certain covenants they have entered with demons concern.
Am entire community may have a shrine, it can be covenants entered with demons by the village head, a parent, relationship. Most times they do this thing to cover the entire family or group without the knowledge of every.
One person with demonic influence or a witch can pronounce a curse on certain members.
Whichever one is the case, it’s a demon that will follow up to make sure what was pronounced is actualized.
Curse is completely a spiritual thing. They’re being carried out by demons.
There are two kingdoms that fight over rulership on earth; The kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan. If God pronounce a blessing on you, angels will follow up to actualize the blessing.
4. Demonic Affliction
90% of all causes of affliction in the world is by the devil, it is demonic, never natural and the defeat of many, the demise of many is the ignorant of this fact.
Most of the sickness is being orchestrated in the realm of the spirit by demons, sometimes through human agents. This kind of sickness resist medication, some pose themselves as incurable.
Most protracted illnesses, prolonged sicknesses are demonic, and what you simply need is prayer or somebody with a higher spiritual authority to cast out the demon or spirit of infirmity, and the sickness will vanish.
We humans are the one to cast out demons, but it depends on the spiritual authority involve, this is why every believer needs to be spiritually strong.
Some people will need fasting and prayer to cast out a demon, but some will need just a word. It depends on how you are strong spiritually.
For the first time, the disciples of Jesus could not cast out a demon and they asked Jesus why? Jesus told them, this type does not go, but with prayer and fasting. Demons operate in different hirarchies.
This does not mean they are powerful, no, they are not. It all depends on your level of faith which is determined by your level of knowledge in the word of God. if your faith level is low, any demon can trick. The only weapon they have is deception.
Demons Only Capitalized On Human Ignorance
Satan has no power at all, they simply capitalized on human ignorance, meaning, they use your power against you.
This is exactly what happened in the garden of Eden. Adam was the God of the earth before his fall. He had all the power over Satan as it were, but Satan collected everything through deceit.
Thank God Jesus came and collected all the power from Satan, restored man back to his original state. It’s only by ignorance that people still accept affliction from demons.
St. Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
St. John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: St. John 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
St. Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Revelation 5:12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
5. Punishment Affliction
God doesn’t judge or punish anybody right now, he has suspended all judgement till judgement day.
What is actually happening now is the law of seed time and harvest. For example if you are caught stealing, you will be punished for it, the bible has admonished us to give, love, repent, of you refuse to obey these instructions, you will definitely be punished one way or the other.
These are not punishment from God. They are afflictions for being disobedient. It’s very natural that anytime you go against the tide, you will be resisted for it.
7. Empathetic Affliction
Empathetic Affliction occurs when someone we love is afflicted, of course we will share that feelings. Biblically, we suppose to be our brothers keeper, bear one another’s burden.
We have to identify with the feelings of others.
8. Testimonial Affliction
Our identity with Christ will always be tested. Whenever you declare your believe, pronounce your faith, you will definitely be tested for it.
You have to be proven, your faith must be tested, not necessarily by God, but the devil. An example is what happened to Job. Job thought it was God that afflicted him, but the bible said Satan tried his faith.
God allows this type of affliction because we all have to prove our faith. It’s the trial of our faith that makes it strong, grow, and mature.
9. Victim Affliction
Many people are afflicted as victims of circumstances, situations, and and and and and and conditions. Some girls are victims of rape, some people are victims ofsome are victims of war, and and and and and and some are victims of arm robbery operations.
People do take undue advantage of another person, maybe due to gender differences, being, being, being, being, being, being physically challenged, age differences, and many more.
onally force a 14-year-old girl child to marry a 60-year-old man. This is a terrible affliction, both mentally and physically. This is is is is child abuse, sexual abuse, and and and and human right abuse.
A lot of this type of affliction is found in child trafficking, Many children are forcefully sent abroad for prostitution.

Of the types of affliction mentioned, this is- time biblical prophecies about wars, too much wickedness, hardship, false prophets, falling away of many believers, and many more, in many parts of the world.

If you are able to learn all the different types of affliction, you should be able to prevent yourself from falling.
This type of affliction can be prevented because it has happened in the past. We in the New Testament are are are aret supposed to learn from what caused affliction to those in the Old Testamentt and try to prevent the the the thet same thing from happening in the New Testament.
The Israelites were in a relationship with God just like we are, but in most cases they were rebellious. That’s why they were afflicted most often.
14. Providential Affliction
There are afflictions that occur so that others can learn from the mistake. The old testament was there for our learning, for our correction, so that we would not make the same mistake.
The entireBiblee was provided for our learning. The Biblee isa correctional book. We read it tomakee corrections.
This is an affliction that arises due to what we stand for. The devil will always resist those who are born of God
How To Overcome Affliction
A demon can only overcome you in an area where you do not know God enough. Anyone only deceive you with the ththththn what you do not know. People are called professors because they have some depth in that area of profession
It is hard to deceive professors when it has to do with their knowledgof thaprofession. You have to be aware of this one thin:; the power of every believer is in the knowledge of God which is in the word of God.
The word of God is the power of God. The same word of God is also the wisdom of God. You need to understand who the word of God is.
The word of God is God himself. As you sit with the word, you are sitting with, fellowshipping with the almighty God himself. This is how we receive power from God.
Specifically, this is what we use to overcome spiritual battles. God introduced fasting to help our faith.
If you know God enough, you can overcome any hirarchy of demon. This is why it’s important that you build up your spirit with the revealed knowledge of the word of God daily and consistently.
This simply mean you can add fasting when your spiritual muscle cannot is not strong enough to cast out a demon.
You need to become a son that is matured with built up muscles, feeling strength and courage, moving about without fear of anything, knowing so well that he is ready to face anything that pops up. This is how believers should live Spiritually.
Identifying causes of affliction is the fast route to freedom for the troubled soul.
Demons are not the same, some are bigger than some, but there is none the word of God cannot throw down, cast out nor destroy, it all depends on your level of the knowledge of the word of God.
You need to know that Satan and all his demons were created by the word of God. And only the word of God can destroy them. You can only use the power of the word to dislodged them anywhere, anytime.
God Does Not Afflict
This is why knowledge of the word is important. God does not afflict, neither does he cause any affliction. God does not run the earth for man, God had finished creation and handed the earth to man.
You determine what happens using yout knowledge of the word. This is why you must be committed to building your knowledge base in the word of God.
After God handed over the earth to man, God gave man a manual to use and run the earth. God never gave any demon any authority to run the earth.
If you allow demons to run the earth for you, you gave them the mandate, not God. The whole earth operates on one covenant; SEED TIME AND HARVEST. Whatever you use your mouth to say, that is what you will have.
Most of the results we get are what we demanded, either by our actions or word of mouth
But when the result showed up, we completely forgot when we sowed the seed. This is simple; if you want to pass exam with first class, be commited to your studies, but many will sleep wake up and start speaking in tongues to cover up for the studiesthey supposed to have done.
There are no two ways to freedom, only one; the manual is the book of the knowledge of the word of God
Many have even accused God of trying to teach them a lesson or using sickness to try their faith, just as it happened to job. God never tried JOB, Satan did.
God has never and will never afflict anyone with sickness, at least, not after Jesus died and resurrected.
After the death of Jesus, all of God’s wrath on sin has been suspended till judgment day. Every form of torment, affliction, and infliction of any form is caused by Satan.
Psalms 82:5 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course. Psalms 82:6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. Psalms 82:7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.
It’s not as if Satan has the power to even afflict any soul after the death and resurrection of Jesus; but the ignorance of men has led to the devil’s capitalization.
In the above scriptures, God never kill them, ignorance destroyed them because of lack of knowledge.
This is why many servants are riding on horses and kings are rather the ones going on foot; IGNORANT, IT IS A TERRIBLE DISEASE.
God is all powerful and wants you live sickness free, or if sick, be healed instantly.
The two kingdoms of the world
There are two kingdoms in this world. The kingdom of darkness and the kingdom of light. The kingdom of light is ruled by God almighty, and the kingdom of darkness is ruled by Satan.
The two kingdoms are directly opposite to each other. The two kingdoms has rules or constitution on which they operate. Every rule in the constitution of the kingdom of darkness is opposing what is on the constitution of the kingdom of light.
The foundation of the constitution of the kingdom of darkness is based on lies, deceit, faulting whatever the kingdom of light says. While the kingdom of light is based on truth, the kingdom of darkness is based on lies or falsehood.
 The bible says Satan is the father of lies, lies is his natural language.You need to understand this basic truth to know why some things you do not understand happens to you. You do not expect Satan to start attacking cult members.
Those are not his enemy, they are rather those who patronize him, instead he will do everything to make them comfortable, and do everything to discomfort you, so that those who patronize the devil will feel that is the camp to belong.
Of all the types of affliction, the demonic affliction is the most daring because it brings you face to face with an enemy.
Every believer needs to be aware they have a common enemy which is Satan. This is the more reason believers should fortify, arm themselves with the knowledge of the truth which is the fear of the devil.
Most causes of affliction by the devil is so deceptive that it can only take someone with the good knoledge of the word of God to identify the root cause.
The truth, which is the word of God you know and understand is the weapon of defense and victory you need. This weapon is the power of God, and the power you need.
Every demon knows how much of the word you know, why not, they are spirits, and faith is a spirit too. Spirits are not hidden from spirits like that.
This is why Satan cannot come near some people with sickness. There are those with such spiritual authority that no demon can near them, mere siting those people from afar, they will escape for their lives.
But where did those people get such authority from? From the same word of truth that you are being entreated with every day.
It is never everybody that Satan can afflict, there are those who are far above every demons, principalities.
How Satan afflict
Asside from the word of God, it would not be humanly possible to know how satan afflicts.
Satan does not have any power of his own to afflict any human being, those in his camp included. SATAN DOES NOT HAVE ANY POWER. If Satan has any power of his own, by now he would have slaughtered half of the believers in the world.
Believers round the world are a serious threat to the devil on a daily bases; with prayers, deliverance, preaching, telling people the truth, evangelism, most especially the revealed knowledge of the word of God.
Believers are destroying the kingdom of darkness everywhere by the preaching of the word of truth, yet the devil cannot do anything to defend himself.
Believers are satan’s direct enemies on earth, believers are causing so much affliction to Satan every second.
The Earth Is The Lord’s
They are always praying, binding, sending fire, destroying his kingdoms. Christians are preaching every day to convert most of his members to Christ.
Yet he cannot do them anything, except those believers who does not know and understand the word of God and those who are not doing the word.
It was deceit he used with Adam and Eve, he knew he does not have an atom of power or authority over them. Satan knew the only thing he could do was to deceive, put fear in them and make them disobey God.
Our ignorance of the word of God and lack of doing the word is the loophole that Satancapitalizes on to bring affliction.
You need to be aware that Satan’s weapon of affliction is deceit, lies. And the only reason he deceives is to put fear in you. It is not Satan that afflict directly, it is fear.
Fear Has Torment
Fear will always be present where there’s no faith. Once faith is absent, fear will quickly occupy the space. This is why you must be rich in the knowledge of the word of God to build your faith.
Fear is a spirit, just like faith is a spirit, but they are two opposites. Faith is used by God, fear is what Satan uses.
People with weak spirit will always fear, but those that have built up their spirit with the revealed knowledge of the word of God always have faith and courage to face any situation. Satan is afraid of the later because they always quash him.
You need to open the bible and study everything that the word of God says about fear.
The Foundation That Initiate The End of Affliction
Once you initiate a relationship with the almighty God, that is the beginning of the end to all forms of affliction in your life.
In case you are not born of God yet, you cannot reject Jesus. You were created by Jesus for Jesus. God created you for himself and wants to live in you today.
To reject Jesus is to reject your life because Jesus is your life. Give your heart to Jesus today; repent, accept Jesus into your heart as your lord and savior and be born of God now, it may be late after now!!!!! Do not postpone. Please follow this steps to obey God now.
