Love is giving your heart to something or someone. Where your heart is, that is where your treasure is. Love comes by knowledge, People love with reason, this means you know when you love. You need to discover how to Know when you’re in love.
How to Know When You’re in Love
You will always be thinking about someone you love, wherever you are the persons image will be flashing in your mind, you will feel like communicating with the person always. At this point, your heart is sold out to your lover. You can be sick if you do not see your lover for a while.
Apart from seeking for the presence of your lover, you will want to be like him; talk like him, walk like him, act like him. You wouldn’t ever want to hurt somebody you love. You will always easily forgive whom you love. You treat whom you love with tender care. You will always defend and speak for whom you love.
Everything your lover does is appealing to you, he seems to have gotten everything correct in your eyes. you hardly would find any fault, and nobody dare to complain when it has to do with him or her. he or she seems to be just that perfect personality, Mr Right, as you may want to call.
Now, my question is, do we also develop all these sensitivity towards God, or we assume God does not need our love.
Matthew 22:37
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
The above scripture is the prove that God himself needs your love more.
Love is consciously developed
Love is a conscious thing, it is consciously developed. Nothing or nobody can force you to love, you consciously make up your mind to love.
It comes out of conviction
You must be convicted to love. The person must have satisfied your admiration, it is earned. The person must be appealing to you, meaning there is something special, not common about the person to you.
Someone loved is special, not common, extraordinary.
Love is developed out of knowledge
The conviction that there is something special about someone comes out of knowledge. There must be knowledge before conviction. It therefore means the more knowledge gained about someone, the more love or the deeper the love.
What I am talking about here is a natural phenomenon, biblical, it is different. We just have to follow God’s pattern and instruction to love. The word of God is God.
The more you spend time with the word, the more you spend time with God. The more you stay with God, the more his love rob off on you.
There is nothing like spending time with the understanding of God’s word, the revelation of God’s word; this is the tangibility of Christianity, the bedrock, the foundation in God.
The more you understand God’s word, the more you understand God and his love, subsequently, the deeper you grow in the love of God. The entire bible is based on the love of God.
The first love of God
The first love of God you experience is when you got born again. This was your salvation. This is what Jesus who is God, came down from heaven, took the form of man with humility and died on the cross for the salvation of every human.

The love of God
Biblical, we love unconditionally, the knowledge on how to love is completely taken from the word of God, and God’s specification is unconditional love. Whether the person is appealing to you or not, you must love.
Whether the person is related or unrelated, ugly or beautiful, tall or short, slim or fat, black or white; you must love.
Luke 6:35
But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
Luke 6:27
But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which de-spitefully use you, and persecute you;
It must be the same way you love yourself.
There are people that does not love themselves. You must first be able to love yourself before you can love another. If you hate yourself, it will be difficult to love another person.
