After you are turned to God, the next important thing is to renew your mind using the revealed knowledge of the word of God. The revealed knowledge of the word of God is the wisdom of God, and according to the above scripture if you failed in the day of adversity, it means your strength is small. In Proverbs 24:5 A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.
This simply means that if you failed in the day of adversity, your level of revealed knowledge of the word is small because a man of knowledge increased in strength. There are invisible battles that we fight in life. You need spiritual strength to win those battles.
